Job Summary
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university - Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with applicable codes like California Building Code, International Building Code, ACI, AISC, and ASME
- Working experience in Upstream (production) oil and gas background a plus but will consider those with downstream (refining) experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have a desire to learn, work in a team environment, and have a positive attitude
Must have California PE License - Must have experience with Contra Costa County building department
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop project basis and design standards for Civil/Structural work.
- Design concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures
- Design sketches and drawing review
- Interdisciplinary (mechanical, electrical, process, project controls) and external client interface
Preferred Experience
Designing petrochemical plants, industrial facilities, and buildings including:

- Pipeways
- Pipe Supports
- Access Platforms
- Vessel foundations
- Equipment foundations
- Control Buildings
Preferred Software experience:
- RISA Technologies - RISA-3D
- Microsoft - Excel, Word, Project
