Cost Engineer /Analyst

They are looking for a Cost Analyst
They are looking for a Cost Engineer /Analyst to support gas utility projects in the Southern, CA area. This individual will work closely with the Project Team to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting in their office in Brea, CA
This person will be responsible to:
- Prepare and update the project cost report including budget management, commitment and actual cost management, and forecasting
- Assists in preparing the project forecast
- Manages project budgets including change
- Works with Client to ensure timely approval of change
- Maintains project funding log
- Works with Client to ensure timely funding increases
- Manages project staffing plan
- Works with Timekeeping to ensure labor costs are appropriately captured
- Works with Procurement to ensure commitments and vendor invoices are appropriately coded
- Manages and reports project revenue, cost and gross margin
- Prepares monthly internal and external reports
- Provides monthly accruals and cashflow
- Prepares and updates Progress curves
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all reporting
Required Experience
- 5+ years experience in Engineering or Construction Cost
- Strong MS Excel Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration degree preferred. No degree required
- Oil & Gas experience preferred
- Utility experience preferred
