QA/QC Inspector
 
Our client is one of the largest open-shop electrical and instrumentation contractors in the nation, providing instrument and technical services.

 They are looking for a QA/QC Inspector to perform inspections and/or testing of electrical and/or instrumentation material, equipment, devices, etc. installed by the company to verify they meet quality requirements as specified by the Project Quality Plan (PQP), governing code, drawings, specifications, contract, etc at their project in Soda Springs, ID
 
Other responsibilities include: 
  • Administration of the Quality Management System (QMS) outlined in the PQP if a Quality Manager is not assigned to the project
  • Organizational freedom to recognize quality problems and to provide solutions to the problems
  • Review provided drawings, specifications, approved RFI's and submittals, etc. for installation details
  • Conduct and record all quality inspection and testing activities on the appropriate ITR's as required
  • Coordinate ITP audit, hold, monitor, and witness points with client, owner, engineer, etc. PRIOR TO any inspection and /or testing activities
  • Perform periodic project job site audits, surveillances, along with other supporting quality documentation as required
  • Gather records for quality Turnover Package submission (if required)
  • Attend required and refresher training related to company, vendor, and regulatory compliance
  • Attend safety training as directed
  • Must comply with all safety and company rules and regulations
  • Employee must be able to travel to and from the jobsite via personal vehicle or other public form of transportation
 
Required Experience
  • 5+ years Industrial electrical and/or instrumentation QA/QC experience 
  • I&E field knowledge 
  • Possess Excellent Communication skills
  • Possess Excellent organizational skills
  • US Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA 
 
Preferred Experience
  • Mining operation experience preferred but not required
  • MSHA training preferred (will be needed if candidate does not already have)
