PTS Advance has an immediate need for an HSE Specialist with 5 years+ experience with Regional HSE implementation and field compliance and experience in emergency response planning.  
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Responds to emergency call-out.
  • Assists field operators in agency inspections, visits and outreach
  • Conducts internal audits.
  • Conducts HSE training and helps implement HSE programs and processes through face-to-face meetings and conference calls.
  • Acts as a resource to locations for tracking regulatory changes and creating plans of action to aid in implementations of new health & safety regulations.
  • Ensures field HSE compliance.
  • Supports Operations in all Health & Safety related issues.
  • Ensures field safety equipment is in working order through random checks.
  • Facilitate tracking and reporting of all health & safety related key performance indicators for the Region
  • Manage facility chemical inventories and SDS
  • Manage electronic reporting, tracking, auditing, and compliance calendar systems for multiple sites
  • Serve as the functional lead for OSHA Voluntary Protection Program sites
  • Possess expertise in Industrial Hygiene and manage the exposure monitoring program
  • Facilitate region-wide ergonomics process
  • Track and manage OSHA log reporting requirements
  • Maintain Medical Surveillance program for the Region
  • Backup training coordinator
  • Internal audit coordination
  • Promote continuous HSE improvement in all field offices through incident investigations, lesson learned, and best practices.
 
Requirements:
  • Engineering, Safety, or environmental degree preferred
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Five years of directly related professional experience.  Pipeline, Terminal, or refinery preferred 
  • Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting the operation 
  • Must have knowledge of Safety regulations, preferably in California, Oregon, and Washington  
  • Proven working relationship with field operations, company peers, and supervisor
  • 40% travel is expected Working at the Crockett, Stockton, Pittsburg or even Wilmington facility or from home.  This position will involve them covering all of these sites.
 
This position will require an individual to hold a valid drivers license.
This position will require an individual to hold a TWIC card.
