Our client is one of the largest open-shop electrical and instrumentation contractors in the nation, providing instrument and technical services.

 They are looking for a Planner/Scheduler to provide assistance to site manager and client with overseeing the development of all schedules, schedule planning, coordinating tasks, monitoring timelines of scheduled assignments, RFI submittals, and material procurement for a mining project support in Soda Springs, ID
 
Other responsibilities include: 
  • Interact with key members of the project team and client organization to develop overall project construction plans and master schedules, as well as detailed system turnover schedules.
  • Develop EPC schedules using P6 software in an enterprise environment in collaboration with procurement, construction, and client representatives. Baseline existing projects to schedule and cost parameters and metrics
  • Create WBS, Activity Coding, User-Defined Fields, and fully utilize other technical aspects of P6 software to develop detailed EPC schedules using full CPM techniques and resource loading.
  • Must have ability to understand and analyze durations and logic of all phases of the EPC project to ensure credibility of the schedule and to clearly convey critical and near-critical paths.
  • Provide scenario 'what if' planning and quantitative risk analysis of schedule.
  • Provide leadership in interactive planning sessions and host/attend schedule review meetings with project management, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Set up, prepare and maintain weekly/monthly project and program reports including quantitative progress and analysis, schedule performance, cost forecasting, cash flow forecasting.
  • Possess ability to direct and lead others, clearly convey information, actively communicate and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Attend required and refresher training related to company and regulatory compliance
  • Clerical/administrative duties related to task or project documentation
  • Attend safety training as directed
  • Must comply with all safety and company rules and regulations
  • Employee must be able to travel to and from the jobsite via personal vehicle or other public form of transportation
 
Required Experience
  • 5+ years scheduling experience 
  • I&E field knowledge 
  • Ability to estimate direct labor hours
  • Experience within an industrial project setting
  • Experience with engineering and construction scheduling 
  • Proficient with Primavera (P6)
  • Cost tracking
  • Budgets
  • Forecasting 
  • Possess Excellent Communication skills
  • Possess Excellent organizational skills
  • US Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA 
 
Preferred Experience
  • Mining operation experience preferred but not required
  • MSHA training preferred (will be needed if candidate does not already have)
