PTS Advance is hiring an IT Support Analyst for our client in the oil and gas industry in Lake Charles, LA.
Job Description:
This role will report to the Lake Charles IT Area Lead. The IT Support Analyst will give technical support to business users at the refinery and surrounding Midstream & Lubricant assets. This role will execute troubleshooting, management, monitoring and hands on support for ITS systems in the site's geographical support area. (Devices includes but aren't limited to radios, desktops, switches, fiber, wired & wireless Ethernet, phones, mobile devices, and active directory). This role will serve in corporate technical knowledge sharing/best practice network teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable end user support for personal and mobile computing environments/critical business applications
- Manage radio inventory support and maintenance
- Trouble shoot and mitigate PC build, application, and system preference issues
- Coordinate suppliers and resources to complete projects/work requests
- Collaborate with central infrastructure/regional infrastructure analyst to assist with hardware refresh activities
- Identify process improvements and propagate best practices
- Optimize IT service delivery by improving efficiency, reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness of defined components of services while following safety practices and corporate standards
- Maintain service delivery while following safety practices
- Serve in after hours (call-out) schedule in support of critical systems/infrastructure
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 or more years in applicable IT discipline
- 2 or more years in direct experience trouble shooting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to provide day to day and after-hours support
- Safely operate a vehicle in the refinery around equipment
- Ability to lift computer equipment weight up to 30 lbs, push cart weight up to 100 lbs
- Physical agility to bend, crawl, walk upstairs, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 4 or more years in IT discipline
- 2 or more years supporting refining or midstream IT assets
- TWIC certification
