Process Engineer

Client: Refinery
Location: Norco, La; working 2-3 days from home

General Job Description 
Project sizes range from $0.2 to $15 mln.  Typically, this role is responsible for six to twenty projects depending on size and complexity of the projects assigned. Over site starts when the project is initiated.  The Process Engineer is responsible for:
  • Developing and documenting the project premises
    1. Leading and facilitating workshops and team meetings
  • Performs or coordinates the necessary evaluations (when required) to develop a basis of design
    1. Includes coordination of test runs
    2. Includes potential coordination of process modelling by client's P&T or other 3rd party vendors or engineering companies
  • Validation of benefits the project will deliver to the business and confirmation from both stakeholders and customers that they support the project proceeding
  • Development of the necessary documents to on-board an engineering firm (when required)
  • Once SELECT/FED 1 activities kick off this role will help ensure the process design will operate safely, be in environmental compliance, and meet production premises
  • Throughput the life of the project (till PO is closed) the process engineer will be responsible for providing process engineering input for all the specific project deliverables.  Examples include the following
    1. Data for training procedures
    2. Participation in PHA or MOC reviews
    3. Perform equipment/field inspections
    4. Support commissioning and start up of equipment
