Our client is an American multinational manufacturer and marketer of chemical products and they are currently looking for a Temporary Production Operator to support the Advanced Materials Division in East Lansing, MI.

As the Production Operator you will:

? Safely handle chemicals and chemical processing equipment (vessels, mixers, reactors, dischargers, etc.) for the manufacture of epoxy and polyurethane type formulations for aerospace, electronics, tooling, etc.

? Processes incorporate heating, cooling, vacuum, pressure and nitrogen purging.

? Applicant must be able to follow instructions precisely as written (in English) as well as verbally and adhere to all safety precautions and PPE (personal protection equipment) requirements.

? Shift work is required.

? Good housekeeping is essential along with motivation for high quality.

? Working knowledge of basic mathematics and science/engineering is necessary.

? Use of a forklift and physical handling of drums is common.

? The role also includes the filling of containers and cleaning of equipment and tools.

? The individual should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Lead Operator.

? Must be accurate and precise.

? Participates in and completes company-required training programs.

? Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Required Qualifications:

? A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

? 1 to 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility, preferable a chemical formulation plant

Preferred Qualifications:

? Very good communication skills as position that interfaces with various departments and contractors.

? Dealing with ambiguity and priority setting.

? Proven understanding of day-to-day business activities, reporting and operations.

? Computer literacy.

? Ability to work well with others and works well in a team setting.

? Able to communicate clearly with line supervisors and management

Hourly wage: $25-$27
