Project Controls Analyst

Job Summary / Responsibilities    
*    Knowledgeable of construction processes and cost principles
*    Ability to identify, review, and communicate key issues and risks to coordinator and management
*    Monitor/Analyze the project costs and provide input/feedback to coordinators and management
*    Familiar with Earned Value and other performance metrics
*    Coordination with numerous other disciplines - operations, engineering, procurement, finance, turnaround
*    Ability to challenge and raise concerns regarding costs provided by contractors and Construction Coordinators based on history
*    Manage and prepare analysis of contractor rates and metrics for estimating and forecasting at least 2x year
*    Manage and maintain MS Access database used to consolidate contractor estimates and reported costs
*    Manage/support process for issuing, revising, closing contractor PO's
*    Utilize SAP to extract PO information and other cost details
*    Manage contractor gate access tool (TRACK) for Construction by validating time is being approved, contractors are reporting in-line with CST's, and Area ID's are being set-up
*    Manage contractor process for submitting and tracking cost reports (CST's)
*    Prepare reports for Project Controls/Construction group to analyze estimates for labor hours and cost
*    Management of Capital Project files and records
*    Provides a critique of Project costs after completion and share during Lessons Learned and Lookback process
*    Maintain strong relationship with entire team during times of high energy and stress
*    Prepare Project Controls and Construction teams with necessary data to drive continuous performance
*    Maintain integrate Capital Project reporting tools with Turnaround

Minimum Requirements   
*    Fluent with MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point)
*    Knowledge of SAP software
*    Awareness level of Primavera scheduling tool
*    Excellent communication skills with project team and ability to multi-task on several projects at once
*    Positive attitude, proactive and eager to learn, analytical/detail oriented.
*    Ability to work with multiple teams with a common end goal
*    Ability to fluctuate work schedule to accommodate peak work periods: Outages and Turnarounds

Preferred Qualifications    
*    2+ years' experience in refinery construction (Brown field)
