Project Engineer

The Project Development Engineer is a contract position hired to work under client's technical direction, policies, and procedures.
Role Description:
Position provides technical design and project management support for multidisciplinary projects according to client's goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunities
- Manage input of new project ideas
- Work with organization to capture project ideas, scope, and work to develop economics with commercial and finance
- Oversee the FEL 0,1,2 Gate steps for the project
- Determine resources necessary for FEL 0,1,2 for each later project
- Manage the budgets associated with project development for FEL 0,1,2 to progress project
- Work as a project manager as needed
- Work to get Project Resources assigned and/or hire FEL resources as necessary
- Maintain project funding forms and reports needed for routing approvals on capital spending
- Coordinate communication to stakeholders on project status and timelines on a weekly basis
- Facilitate Competitive Selection of Contracting for FEL 0,1,2
- Develop a Project Premise Document to set scope
- Develop a Basis of Design Document to set engineering design class
- Take the lead in setting scope and assure stakeholder sign off (customers, commercial, operations)
- Own project development data, and history
- Work with commercial, customers, and terminal operation on participation requirements in FEL
- Create Risk Register Content and use for FEL 0,1,2 going into assurance reviews and stage gate approval on project being developed
- Provide data to the financial advisor to do support work
- Prepare and submit project stage gate reviews in organization for FEL 0,1,2 to gain approval for next phase
