The Retail Project Manager will be a part of the engineering and support services team that oversees Retail IT projects from start to finish within the company. Projects can include developing store launches as we stand up and scale stores across North America. This person will help plan and execute large, complex, cross-functional projects within the Retail IT organization. The Project Manager empowers teams to organize and execute their own roadmaps, projects, or communication plans by leveraging project management tools, processes, and best practices. They will support the most complex initiatives, in a fast-paced environment, that have an immediate impact on critical business decisions within a rapidly growing organization.

Required:
  • 5+ years of strong project management experience, managing large cross-functional teams (preferably in the retail industry).
  • A thorough understanding of project methodology and how to apply it to real world situations; experience with project management software is ideal.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical individuals and proven track record of influence at various levels of the organization.
  • Thrives in a high growth, ambiguous environment.
  • Evidence of 'scrappy start-up execution' and a 'get it done' attitude when time is tight and stakes are high.
  • Must be okay with 30% travel, and a flexible schedule
  • Strong knowledge of technology, hardware and software in a professional services environment.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
  • Must be okay with 50% travel, and a flexible schedule
 
Preferred:
  • Experience managing projects using ServiceNow
  • ITIL knowledge
