  • Manages personnel responsible for asphalt processing and delivery
  • Monitors material inventories to ensure sufficient supply for processing and roofing production
  • Develops processes to minimize plant downtime and improve production efficiency
  • Develops and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 
  • Identifies and leads process improvement projects
  • Ensures employees are properly trained to perform assigned duties to include documentation of training records and established policies
  • Creates work schedules including a DOT compliant truck driver schedule
  • Provides technical guidance and assistance for common problems within Asphalt Processing and Truck Loading areas
  • Coordinates scheduling of tractor and trailer maintenance and equipment drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Maintains necessary records and inspections on tractors and trailers as required by DOT
  • Works with Maintenance to schedule downtime and other work in the plant

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree ? Engineering or Technical preferred
  • Five years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite
  • Good leadership and communication skills

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • This job is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions as well as exterior working heights up to 60 feet. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, and airborne particles.  The employee will be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, heat, vibration, and confined spaces.  The employee may be occasionally exposed to acidic or caustic chemicals and solvents.  A respirator may be required at times. 
  • The employee must be able to position self to inspect, maintain, and/or repair machinery and equipment on plant floor, as well as railcars. This may require climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, crawling, and/or stooping.
  • The noise level in the work environment varies, hearing protection is provided.
