PTS Advance has an immediate position in Martinez, CA. for a Requisition Technician. Local candidates are highly desirable. This a long-term contract position. The requisition tech will be trained to manage the SAP requisitions process from issuance of purchase requisitions to goods receipting. With additional responsibilities in receiving, inventory management, and job kitting. SAP experience not required. Training will be provided.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledgeable understanding of SAP transaction codes used in the procurement and inventory management process
- Provide SAP purchasing system support to the maintenance department and general plant personnel.
- Converts field parts and material requests from plant personnel into SAP requisitions, assuring accurate and complete data is provided in requisitions.
- Utilize channel management in identifying appropriate procurement transactions.
- Manage supplier relationships for the execution of purchase orders.
- Proactively expedite orders through to successful completion, ensuring proper goods receipting for timely paying of vendors.
- Provide warehouse inventory management to the maintenance department. Simplifies and improves overall ease of getting the right part in the right place.
- Assure compliance with CP processes and initiate improvements where appropriate.
- Work closely with maintenance planner and crafts to kit jobs for execution, supporting run & maintain turnarounds and projects.
- Manage invoice approval process, AP escalation process, and problem resolution. Analyze and fix blocked invoices, GR/IR items to ensure prompt supplier payment.
- Lead annual calibration services and ensure proper documents are collected from the vendor and stored appropriately.
- Be comfortable lifting 40-50 lbs. packages and material
Working hours are Monday through Friday, working either a 5-eights or 9/80 schedule. Overtime work is a rare occurrence and is dictated by business needs. I.E., we are in a shutdown, or a shipment is scheduled to arrive late, and we need someone here to receive it.
Working a weekend is a very, very rare occurrence.
