Solar Technician 3/Site Lead
Location: Sumrall, Mississippi
Start Date: Mid to Late May 2022
PTS Advance is hiring a Solar Technician 3/Site Lead role for our client with a solar site in Sumrall, MS. This role will support the ongoing operations and maintenance at this solar farm and lead the other members of the team. This position has a projected start date around mid to late May of 2022.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the O & M of solar plant with all established standards and procedures upheld
- Always ensure safety to the highest standard throughout all elements of work
- Possess/provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components
- Use digital multi meters, meggers, amp clamps, and other similar equipment
- Test installed equipment to ensure proper working order
- Conduct daily mechanical electrical inspections
- Responsible for documentation
- Train, develop, and mentor other solar technicians and workers on site
- Lead well and professionally
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license
- 3+ years of experience as a solar technician or inverter specialist
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead including managing priorities and workdays under minimal supervision
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read, and interpret electrical schematics
- Must pass background check and drug screen
