Senior Network Engineering Technician
Brentwood, TN
  • Hybrid role: 40-50% remote; 50-60% onsite

The Sr. Network Engineering Tech will have the following responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for the support and expansion of network operations for Delek business units.
  • Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WAN and Firewalls.
  • Creates and maintains IP/network documentation.
  • Responsible for projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication
  • equipment and procedures.
  • Manage, troubleshoot and repair advanced IP and layer 3 switching (Cisco)
  • Understanding and troubleshooting VPNs and Firewalls (Meraki).
  • Understanding and manage of SD-WAN (Velo)
  • Collaborate with executive management and others within the IT Department to assess current and long-term network capacity needs.
  • Participate in the on-call technical support rotation.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information and other sensitive company data.
  • Create new and maintain current documentation.
  • Mentor engineers
  • Ability to lead other engineers and to track and assign tasks to completion
  • Have a solid foundation of route/switch protocols as well as the ability to diagnose connectivity problems independently
  • May require travel 15% base on project
 
Required Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience: 
  • 5+ years of related experience. A Bachelor's or technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Manage Cisco DNAC
  • Manage SD-WAN devices
  • Experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, and VOIP technologies
  • Ability to document with Visio and /or Microsoft Software
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
 
Preferred Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience: 
  • 2+ years' experience in network design, implementation, support required
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required; Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • preferred
  • Experience with Azure and Prisma
  • Experience with Cisco ACI
