Job Description and Qualifications
Supporting Industrial Gases (IG) North America capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround planning, and turnaround execution.   Providing specialized services for both capital projects and turnaround execution to operational assets.
 
The Turnaround & Project Controller will be responsible for collecting, maintaining, and revising procedures for a geographically diverse team.  Additionally, this role will help track turnaround performance for safety, schedule, cost, and quality across all turnarounds.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform document control services for updating procedures developed by team.
  • Create and maintain document hierarchy for procedures and other team documents.
  • Manage and maintain procedure storage and organization for both turnarounds and projects.
  • Maintain appropriate permissions to access documents when team members change.
  • Check for accuracy and maintain consistent information across procedures.
  • Implement schedule to periodically review and revise procedures.
  • Collect suggestions for changes to procedures during next revision.
  • Notify team members of changes to procedures and processes.
  • Track key company procedures and policies to notify team when they are revised or superseded.
  • Track turnaround and project costs through SAP relative to budgets.
  • Assist with classifying work scope as capital or expense per company policy.
  • Track team member purchase orders to ensure they are issued or modified as needed.
  • Ensure identified procedures are adhered to including following work process progress.
  • Develop summary reports of identified processes to show status and highlight problems.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure solutions are optimal for everyone involved.
 
Qualifications:
  • Several years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP, word, and excel.
  • Experience making presentations and creating reports.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a broad audience.
  • Travel up to 10% is required within the United States and potentially Canada.
