Procurement Specialist
SUMMARY
· Responsible for buying materials for a refinery warehouse, using the Purchase Requisitions submitted by S4Hana systems and Work Orders.
· Prepare and release Request for Quotation (RFQ), and evaluate proposals, statement of work (SOW), and other technical documents
· Negotiate price and delivery and execute purchase orders, with some expediting for special projects.
· Work with internal departments to resolve purchasing issues related to parts drawings, BOM discrepancies, delivery, expediting materials, GR / IR receipts, and invoices.
· Manage relationships with current suppliers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE required:
- 5-7 years related experience and/or training.
- Previous experience assisting project teams in preparing RFP/RFQ requirements, evaluating proposal responses, and managing supplier cost and performance expectations.
- Must be proficient with SAP or S4Hana System
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with procurement of mechanical and electrical subcontractor services pertaining to installation of industrial machinery and equipment is preferred.
- A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education (Associate Degree) and/or experience is acceptable.
- Warehouse procurement with MRO experience is a plus.
