Accountant 

Location: 2331 CityWest Blvd, Houston TX 77042

Pay Range: $40.00-$43.18 per hour (Depended on Experience)

Duration: 1 year contract (May extend)

Responsibilities: 

The Accountant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Month end close and reporting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, financial reporting, variance analysis

* Complete volumetric reconciliations on Crude inventory movements

* Resolve AR/AP reconciliation issues

* Responsible for closing and settlement/netout payment monthly for desk responsibilities

* Provide support to management team in the development, implementation and oversight of internal controls

* Work with schedulers, traders and other front office to resolve issues, as well as counterparties

* Assist with internal and external audits

* Provide ad hoc reporting and support business initiatives

Skills and Qualifications:

* BS degree in accounting

* CPA is a plus

* SAP

* Blackline is a plus

* Strong attention to detail

* Intermediate Excel skills (i.e. vlookup, pivotable, etc.) preferred

* Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial principles

* Minimum of 2 year experience of public or corporate accounting (oil and gas a plus)

* Sound written and oral communication skills

* Ability to work independently and with a team and manage deadlines

* Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
