The objective of this position is to drive, maintain, and support project cost control based on the approved scope. The cost engineer provides transparent insight in the project's cost status, supporting effective decision-making. 

Responsibilities:

1. Developing the detailed estimate for the complete scope of works associated with the project and maintain this in a cost report.
2. Challenge and align project estimates, working to support the project to reduce areas of uncertainty to help to produce the most representative estimate within the given timeframe and based on the level of solution definition.
3. Estimate change orders
4. Development of reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders as required by the Project Controls Manager.
5. Manage scope growth through the change order process.
6. Closing out cost management aspects on completion of contracts.
7. Manage project cost controls and report to Project Manager
8. Manage scope growth through the change order process.
9. Coordinate with subcontractors to capture changes and ensure best pricing 
10. Coordinate with vendors to endure best pricing

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified in a technical or project management-based discipline is desired.

Experience:

• The candidate has 5 years of cost estimating experience.
• English language fluency.
• Strong Microsoft excel skills
• Preferably contractor management experience.
