Our client operates refineries across the US, offering gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, specialty lubricant products, and specialty and modified asphalt.

They are seeking a Materials Specialist in Anacortes, WA.

Long term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding of plant policies, including escorting non-TWIC holders
• Able to act as an equipment spotter for others using proper hand signals and best practices
• Able to verify materials efficiently and at a high accuracy rate
• Able to complete Good Receipts efficiently and at a high accuracy rate
• Advanced ability to research Good Receipts problems and discrepancies
• Able to stage materials in Laydown Yard Manager (LDM) efficiently and at a high accuracy rate
• Able to issue materials out of inventory and Laydown Yard Manager (LDM) efficiently and at a high accuracy rate
• Advanced ability to research delivery errors and/or discrepancies
• Able to assist plant personnel at the warehouse pickup window efficiently
• Able to complete safety audits and equipment checkoffs
• Basic understanding of Investment Recovery and organizing material returns
• Advanced understanding of Turnarounds and Turnaround material management procedures
• Advanced understanding of Projects and Projects material management procedures
• Advanced ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and complete assigned material management projects
• Able to manage all day-to-day warehouse activities efficiently and effectively
• Able to manage and lead Material Management Projects and be accountable for timely completion
• Able to lead safety meetings, trainings, and staff meetings
• Able to lead a team and be accountable for other Material Management contract personnel
• Able to work independently or as part of a team with limited supervision

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Material Coordination/Material Management experience.
• Oil and gas and turnaround experience preferred.
• TWIC Card is required.

Hourly wage: $30-$33.
