Our client provides fully integrated EPC services to the onshore and offshore oil and gas community, on a global scale. Their team in Southern California specializes in the areas of LNG, Ethylene, Petrochemical, and Refining.
They are looking for a Senior Process Engineer in Claremont, CA.
As a Senior Process Engineer you will prepare technical proposals and carry out the process design on awarded projects, process studies, and commissioning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience with Hydrogen / Syngas / Ammonia flow sheets or plants
- Analyze project specifications and inquiry requirements; develop design parameters and methodology accordingly under the supervision and guidance of a Supervising Engineer.
- Prepare engineering calculations as required.
- Prepare process flow diagrams (PFD's) piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's) and process data sheets for equipment and instruments.
- Coordinate with Sales Department on preparation and presentation of proposals and client meetings.
- Uphold standards of quality, applicable codes, and industry standards and practices.
- Follow up on completed projects including start-up and performance guarantee test.
- Design, specify, purchase, setup, and operation of lab equipment & systems in support of R&D programs
- Development of in-house proprietary software used in designing ethylene steam crackers and steam reformers.
- R&D due diligence activities for reviewing 3rd party technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends.
- Maintain a high professional profile.
- Represent group in staff, vendor and client meetings when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS, MS or PhD Chemical Engineering with min. 5 years of experience.
- Possess proficient engineering skills.
- Have demonstrated innovation and creativity in prior experience.
- Capable of working under minimal supervision of a more experienced engineer.
Salary range: $120000-$150000 (depending on experience).
