One of our clients in the chemical industry is looking to add an Process Engineer to oversee their facility in Waggaman, LA. As the Process Engineer, you will track plant operational performance and provide information and ideas for plant process efficiency improvements

Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate and be committed to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through Gembas, Safe Act Observations and other tools
* Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
* Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
* Monitor plant performance by tracking KPIs of the Ammonia plant
* Identify continuous improvement initiatives through KPIs & problem solving
* Recommend and help implement process improvements and alterations for improved performance and safety

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Process Technology, or related field of study.
* Internship or Co-op Experience in Chemical plant or refinery preferred
* Knowledge of chemical plant mechanical equipment and processes
* Use sound engineering, economic, and management principles to affect decisions in parallel with company and corporate goals and objectives
