Project Engineer

Job Summary
Project Engineer is accountable for the delivery of numerous projects in the $200,000 to $5 million range. Assisting Project Manager/s, reporting to VP of Capital Projects.
Essential Job Duties
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
- Experience with onsite projects within an operating environment
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Developing project scopes of work for contractors
- Evaluate contractor bids and make recommendations for award
- Coordinate contractor mobilization to site
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the contractor and all stakeholders
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Requirements
- 3+ years project engineering or construction management
- BS degree or relevant industrial experience.
Preferred Experience
- Schedule/planning in Primavera or MS Project
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk and/or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch and push or pull on objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require the use of safety equipment and clothing. Where noise levels exceed allowable limits, hearing protection is required and provided.
