Senior Planner/Scheduler functions including planning, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, progress measurement and change management implementation and analysis involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects.   Additionally, this position may encompass supervision of others and administrative functions as required by the Regional Planning Manager. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty as well as contractual considerations require the fully competent application of prudent project controls and project management methodologies.  A complete and thorough understanding of policies, methods and procedures is required.

WORK PERFORMED:
  • Directs and supervises subordinates in the performance of detailed planning/scheduling activities for compliance to contract requirements and internal reporting analysis requirements.
  • Directs and reviews the preparation of technical reports according to applicable Project requirements, Internal requirements and Client Contract requirements.
  • Assist project management team in preparation of all Project Controls reports including but not limited to scheduling updates and analysis, progress reporting, Cost Reports, change management reporting and various internal and external reporting for management.  Additionally, provides management analysis and reporting for special and specific items that may occur during a project life cycle.
  • Reviews and issues accurate and timely reports and correspondence to the project team as required.
  • Works directly with the Project Manager and Project team members to identify and resolve problems in the area of technical expertise.
  • Reviews and ensures communication of all project related reports to ensure the requirements of the clients will be met in a timely fashion.
  • Implements and maintains compliance of Company Quality System requirements relative to responsibilities.
  • Provides additional analysis and reporting to Corporate Management as well as external clients as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Experience in supervising other Project Control personnel.
  • Experience in working within an interdisciplinary Project Controls Group
  • Experience in project reporting and progress measurement systems.
  • Over 7 years experience in Primavera P6 and general experience in MS Office and MS Project
