PTS Advance is actively searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our industry-leading medical device client near Charleston, SC. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for Automation and Assembly.

This rapidly expanding company invests in their team, allowing the Senior Manufacturing Engineer to gain valuable hands-on experience in all aspects of the process with the support for internal career progression.

Abbreviated Duties:

• Ensure the processes of systems and equipment meet all customer, business & regulatory requirements.
• Lead improvement plans/requirements for assembly lines, capacity expansion, and production setups.
• Collaborate to aid production for automated assembly of autoinjector systems.
• Manufacturing acceptance of new assembly lines/processes in regular production
• Lead engineering responsibility of product lines and assembly processes.
• Aid Design For Manufacturing (DFM) for new products
• Work with production technicians, equipment, maintenance, and additional cross-functional teams on troubleshooting and improvements
• Drive and execute validation activities for new processes/equipment.

Background:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar work experience/education.
• 5+ years hands-on in automated manufacturing or development of highly automated, high-volume processes/production systems.
• Strong attention to detail, able to work independently and with a team efficiently.
• Prior exposure to a regulated industry (pharma)/GMP environment, current knowledge of standards.
• Working knowledge of PLC based systems, vision technologies, common sensor/actuator system.
• Background with Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Six-sigma methodology. SCADA/MES implementation preferred.
• Communicates effectively, bother verbally and written.
