Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the Role
PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support one of our key clients on-site in Hanover, MD. In this role, you'll manage the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuring invoices are issued accurately, payments are collected on time, and financial records are kept in perfect order. This position is essential to maintaining strong client relationships and supporting a healthy cash flow for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and distribute accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.

Monitor accounts for overdue balances; follow up promptly to ensure payment.

Accurately apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.

Research and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and customers.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within the accounting system.

Prepare and send monthly statements of account to customers.

Partner with Sales, Project Management, and Order Entry teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly accounts receivable activity reports.

Work across multiple internal entities and manage several shared inboxes.

Upload invoices and manage payments through various customer payment portals.

Adhere to internal controls, policies, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR best practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and MS Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Experience with B2B collections is preferred.

Familiarity with AIA billing is a plus.

Manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred.
