The Accountant is responsible for Inventory reconciliations, and closing and settlement activities as company needs. This is a contract position that is planned to last 1 year long, located in Houston TX (Zip Code: 77042). The accountant will work with customers and team to resolve order and invoice issues. Balances daily responsibilities with project/process improvement identification and implementation in a team environment. Pay Range: $45.00-$55.00 Per hour (DOE) 

Schedule: Monday-Friday (40 hours per week) 

Duration: 1 year Contract 

 Responsibilities may include:
 Handling difficult conversations with customers regarding order issues and complaints. Ensuring customer satisfaction for products and services provided by Company Crude department. Identifying and implementing improvement of work processes in support of better service to our customers.
 Coordinating with internal partners to resolve value chain issues, including company plants, Product Management, Sales, Crude, and Finance.

 Qualifications Basic/Required:
 * Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
 * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* Complete book to physical reconciliations timely and actively resolves reconciliation issues

* Manage deadlines appropriately

* Responsible for closing and settlement payment monthly for desk responsibilities

* Resolve AR/AP reconciliation issues

* Ability to analyze processes and procedures and use most efficient method to complete work

* Ability to multitask
