As a Badging Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of access control and badging processes during the upcoming turnaround/outage at our refinery. You will be responsible for issuing, activating, and managing access badges for employees, contractors, and visitors, as well as maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
Pay Range: $18/hr.
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: ending mid to end October
Schedule: Will either be 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts, between 6am-10pm/7 days a week.
Hours: will get at least 40 hours/week then will get OT during TAR
Responsibilities:
- Issue access badges to employees, contractors, and visitors according to established protocols and procedures.
- Activate, deactivate, and manage access badges as needed throughout the duration of the turnaround/outage.
- Maintain accurate records of badge issuance, deactivation, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with security personnel, HR, and project managers to verify badge eligibility and resolve any access-related issues.
- Provide guidance and assistance to employees and contractors regarding badging procedures and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor access control systems and troubleshoot any technical issues or discrepancies.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security administration or related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours and weekends as needed during the turnaround/outage period.
- Previous experience using 10 key data entry and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
