Building Science Team Leader

  • Responsibilities

  • Managing the profitability of the team contributing to the overall success of the business unit and company at large.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and senior leaders to deliver high-quality, timely, and value-added environmental services to clients.  This includes expertise in areas such as asbestos, lead, hazardous materials, site          assessments, site remediation, and related environmental disciplines.
  • Conduct field work, including site inspections, sample collection, and environmental assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and technical documents for client use, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with clients at a technical level, leveraging strong communication skills to address concerns, provide updates, and offer expert advice.
  • Develop cost estimates and proposals for environmental projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in engineering, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Possession of Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST), or ability to sit for and pass the exam within three months of hire.
  • California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Lead certification.
  • Completion of the 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training
