Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled High Voltage Cable Splicer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high voltage cables throughout Charlotte, NC. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Splice and connect high voltage cables.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of cables and splices.
- Troubleshoot and repair cable faults.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
- Certification as a cable splicer or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and high voltage cable splicing techniques.
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
