Job Description:

Our client, a leading environmental consulting and construction firm specializing in sustainable environmental solutions, is seeking an experienced Air Separation Process Chemical/Cryogenic Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in air separation and cryogenic gas separation design, as well as a strong background in chemical engineering.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Model air separation process simulations.
  • Model cryogenic separation simulations (A MUST).
  • Develop air separation systems.
  • Prepare PFDs and P&IDs, including specifying control loops.
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations, heat & material balances.
  • Size lines, valves, and equipment. Size relief valves and instrument elements.
  • Prepare and modify process control narratives from P&IDs and PFDs.
  • Develop process calculation tools using Excel.
  • Review vendor drawings/documents for accuracy and project objectives.
  • Conduct studies, including cost-benefit analysis, to determine the most effective process solutions.
  • Promote value engineering and technical review through periodic process design document reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and EH&S processes and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven air separation & cryogenic gas separation design experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 8-15 years of relevant process engineering experience required.
  • P.E. certification is a plus.
  • Experience with natural gas, biomethane, biogas, or renewables is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of feasibility studies, HAZOPs, and PHA studies preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing required.

Compensation: 

$88,000 - $130,000 plus benefits
