Job Description:
Construction Manager
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage construction contracts for Natural Gas Fueling stations by evaluating specifications to plan procedures, setting project goals and deadlines, prioritizing schedules, and overseeing staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
- Manage change orders to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
- Partner with the Project Team to channel communication with clients on change orders.
- Inspect the work in progress, drawings, and specifications to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
- Interface with respective public and regulatory officials including building inspectors ensuring proper inspections.
- Oversee Contractors, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
- Conduct construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
- Act as a liaison with Engineering in order to resolve contract disputes and claims.
- Act as a liaison with the on site project team.
- Travel as required to be on site full time for the duration of the project.

- Directly supervise a team of employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree; 7+ years of related experience and/or training and 2-5 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Project and Outlook. Proficient in Project Management Systems (Procore), Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.
