Lead Initial Contract Reviews: Organize and conduct Initial Contract Reviews upon contract turnover from Commercial Operations to the Project Execution Team. Engage key stakeholders, including the Project Director, Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Project Supply Chain Manager, Project Scheduler, Construction & Commissioning Services Representative, EPC Schedule Analyst, Project Financial Analyst, and Contract Manager.
Ensure Contract Understanding: Provide the project team with a clear understanding of contract requirements and responsibilities, including scope of supply, accepted scope of work, key milestones, guarantees, liabilities, reporting, invoicing, payment approvals, delivery coordination, compliance, risk transfer provisions, supplier restrictions, and dispute resolution processes.
Manage Risk Reviews: Establish and facilitate recurring project Risk Reviews with key project leaders, ensuring monthly updates to the Risk Register and immediate assessments in response to emergent risks.
Monitor Contract Liabilities: Document all accepted contract liabilities, such as liquidated damages for delivery or project completion delays, performance shortfalls, and contractual failure consequences. Develop tools to evaluate financial impacts and track the status of liabilities throughout project execution.
Maintain Project Schedules: Collaborate with project leadership and schedule analysts to establish and update a Level 1 Schedule quarterly, reflecting critical contract milestones. Ensure alignment with contractual baselines and update plans to reflect amendments as needed.
Support Claims Management: Work closely with project leaders, legal counsel, and analysts to develop, review, and manage correspondence related to actual or potential claims against the organization, ensuring timely and strategic responses.
Facilitate Financial Recovery: Assist project leadership and supply chain managers in identifying and executing financial recovery strategies for project impacts caused by external entities.
Track Project History: Support the project execution team in maintaining detailed project correspondence and work history tracking to enable efficient defense against claims and disputes.
Drive Process Improvements: Identify and implement enhancements in contract standards, project kickoff templates, reporting formats, and review processes to optimize future project execution.
Ensure Compliance with Financial Policies: Coordinate with financial analysts and project leadership to manage risk funds, revenue adjustments, and financial liability reporting in accordance with company policies.
