Control Systems Engineer

Our client operates refineries across the US, offering gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, specialty lubricant products, and specialty and modified asphalt.

They are seeking a Control System and Instrumentation Engineer in Anacortes, WA  for a long-term contract (potential to convert to direct).

This person is responsible for developing/designing and implementing controls projects for the refinery.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Prioritizes work schedule effectively.
• Communicates openly with customers in an effective, positive manner.
• Work with PM/PE on controls project(s) from FEL0 to Operate and customer acceptance.
• Work with engineering company in scope development, scope verification and technical assurance.
• Lead and/or support start-up of systems.
• Act as a leader on assigned controls projects.
• Capable of leading the training sessions to customers in their area of expertise.
• Willingness to assist other CSE team members
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 Years experience working in manufacturing environment - Refining a plus
• Ability to read, redline P&IDs
• Experience in defining and creating controls narrative.
• Proficiency in Honeywell Experion DCS and Allen Bradley PLCs and Triconex is a plus
• Has worked on DCS projects and run and maintain environment
• Instrumentation experience is a plus

• Perform programming and development of DCS control modules, graphics HMI, etc.
