PTS Advance is looking for a Control System Engineer with hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix) and PanelView Plus. 

The position will be based in Concord, CA. and the job site is in Richmond, CA.

Responsibilities

· Support the CSA/CSE team with PLC and Operator Interface (OIT) assets across the refinery.

· Maintain and troubleshoot Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix) and PanelView systems.

· Manage and update PLC software, licensing, and version control on support laptops/desktops.

· Maintain an accurate installed base inventory of PLC types, versions, and spare parts.

· Contribute to PLC lifecycle projects with onsite data collection.

· Provide on-call support as part of the rotating CSA/CSE schedule.

Skills & Qualifications

· Hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix) and PanelView Plus.

· Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including program upload/download.

· Working knowledge of communication protocols: Data Highway Plus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP.

· Experience with Prosoft communication cards and gateways.

· Familiarity with FactoryTalk AssetCentre, Rockwell/Siemens VFDs (preferred).

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

· Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Work Environment

· Onsite position in Richmond, California, operating on a 9/80 schedule.

· Must hold a valid driver's license.

· Participation in after-hours support rotation with CSA/CSE team members.

· Safety and compliance awareness required in all refinery operations.
