Our client is a major refinery in the Pacific Northwest. They operate an integrated network of strategic assets that creates and sells refined petroleum products, from feedstock acquisition to wholesale, commercial and retail sales outlets.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Construction Cost Control position within the Project Controls department. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. This individual will provide project controls and administrative support for the Project Controls and Construction group. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support in estimating and cost reporting in adherence to standards.
  • Monitors key metrics such as earned value, productivity, indirect to direct ratio to prepare forecasts for individual projects.
  • Assists Project Controls in collecting information for monthly accrual process provided to accounting.
  • Maintain manpower and equipment plans and report against the plans daily for all construction projects.
  • Prepare and report out weekly cost reporting as well as forecasting information to engineering department.
  • Review project estimates with construction team and issue to engineering department.
  • Validate accuracy of contractor charges and compare due to approved plans and earned value.
  • Analyze contractor metrics such as CPI and SPI and recommend improvements supervision.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or an equivalent field is preferred
  • Computer Proficiencies: Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Suite ( Excel/Access ). SAP or Planning and Scheduling software a plus
  • 5-10+ years Construction Cost Controls experience preferred

 

 

Hourly wage: $55-$75 based on experience.
