Our client provides full multi-discipline engineering, design, project management, procurement, and project management services to the refining and petrochemical industries.

 

They are currently looking for a DevOps Software Engineer in Bellingham, WA.

Hybrid schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home).

 

The DevOps Software Engineer in this role will collaborate on the development of a Blazor WebAssembly project with a Web API backend. The person will work with the DevOps Software Development team to implement the functionality outlined in the Functional Requirements documentation following the Product Design Specification.  


MUST have experience with Blazor WebAssembly.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

  • Work in a cross-disciplined development team to assist in software design and coding. 
  • Attend and contribute to Stand Ups, project meetings, and team meetings.  
  • Perform software and systems testing. 
  • Learn the company's systems, configuration, interfacing, and administration. 
  • Configure and manage server systems.  
  • Participate in design sessions and solution architecture meetings. 
  • Author documentation as needed. 
  • Work with Project Manager and Lead Developer to create task lists and estimates.
  • Communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel. 
  • Perform other related duties as needed. 

 

REQUIRED Skills and Abilities

  • C# and .NET: Strong understanding of C# programming language and familiarity with the .NET ecosystem is crucial.
  • Blazor WebAssembly Development: Fluent with Blazor WebAssembly, building user interfaces including components, data binding, and routing.
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Adept with web development fundamentals like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building interactive UIs.
  • Frontend Frameworks: (Optional): Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Bootstrap and Material Design is helpful.
  • ASP.NET Core Web API: Expertise building web APIs using ASP.NET Core (8 preferred), including controllers, routing, and data access. 
  • RESTful API Design: Understanding of RESTful API principles for creating well-structured, scalable APIs.
  • Data Access: Experience EF Core for interacting with MS SQL database.
  • Authentication and Authorization: Ability to implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for the API.
  • Unit Testing: Experience desired, specifically with xUnit.
  • Source Code Management: Experience with GIT preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent software development experience required. 
  • At least three years of experience in software development preferred. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to sit/stand, type, perform computer work, and answer incoming calls for long periods of time.
  • Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering phones.
  • Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.

 

COMPENSATION: Rate $42.00 - $47.00 hourly (DOE)
