he Director or Manager of Contracts, EPC reports to the Managing Director of EPC and is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Finance, Business Development, Project Development, Procurement, Project Management, Legal and other critical internal functions to finalize prime and subcontracts
Lead day to day contract meetings with external partners in finalizing agreements and resolving outstanding risks
Work with engineering and project management to ensure timely preparation and review of requests for proposals, term sheets, exhibits and other agreement documents to meet bid and deal closing deadlines
Ensure all internal stake holders have reviewed prime project agreements for scope and cost alignment
Work with all team members to ensure the contracting nuances of risk management, warranties, deliverables, tax, accounting, damages, costs, and schedule are understood and managed appropriately
Establish project-specific risk matrix for internal team to report on risk mitigation measures and potential risk exposure
Provide a Contract overview(s) to leadership identifying key risk area and recommend pass-through clauses from Prime Contract to be included in Subcontracts
Manage/coordinate external counsel as required during contract negotiations
Develop and maintain a streamlined negotiation process to minimize risk and reduce legal costs
Develop and follow procedures that ensure a timely and complete handover of executed commercial agreements to the execution teams
Contract support for Project Managers during design and construction phases
Oversee maintenance of contract templates and contract library, including LOI, LNTP, MOU, ESA, Subcontract, Prime Contract, and related Exhibits
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required
Juris Doctor or equivalent career experience, preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration, preferred
7+ years of experience in contract negotiation, administration and/or management.
Strong legal background in contracts law, with demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of energy projects preferred, especially solar projects.
Project Management experience, including achieving contract deliverables, adhering to contractual standards and enforcing subcontracts.
Understanding of construction scheduling and schedule analysis.
Experience in applying organizational standards when reviewing contracts, negotiating terms and drafting subcontracts.
Robust skills in Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, and Project) and the Google Suite (including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides).
Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow
Strong legal acumen, negotiation and problem solving skills
Strong ability to identify, evaluate, and allocate risks.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to discern subtle requirements, nuances and differences within complex commercial and legal documents
Solid technical acumen and/or in-depth knowledge of solar power plant technology, construction, operation, maintenance and performance
