E&I Planner

Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the E&I PLANNER/SCHEDULER is to translate Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) designs from Engineering/Procurement (EP) firms into executable schedules at the refinery. Though this role will report administratively to the Senior (Construction) Project Manager, the E&I PLANNER/SCHEDULER will report functionally to the Lead Construction E&I Planner/Scheduler.

Essential Requirements:
* This is a dual role combining aspects of both building detailed work plans and scheduling them in Primavera.
* The ideal candidate will be flexible enough to seek out and incorporate material purchasing and contracting plans already in place and build them into their work.
* Intimate working knowledge of industry and/or site construction execution norms for electricians and instrument technicians as well as dependencies on other disciplines are valuable attributes for this role.
* The successful candidate will perform well in dynamic, demanding environments.
* In addition, the ideal candidate will have P6 experience.
* Perform very well in team environments, will field-verify existing facilities as needed, and can communicate clearly and effectively.

Required Skills/Abilities:
* Ensure personnel and process safety concepts are incorporated into execution schedules (e.g., energy isolations, lockout-tagout, etc.).
* Help identify/flag design inconsistencies and RFI for clarification.
* Read complex CWPs to extract E&I-specific scopes.
* Develop the project construction plan from CWPs, including installation, inspection and startup/commissioning activities. Review with the client, applicable craft superintendents and other planner/schedulers to confirm plan accuracy. Recommend recovery plans, schedule or job sequencing revisions as needed.
* Work with the Project Manager and Field/Project Engineer for change management/to build RFIs and FCOs for client approval.
* Employ clear, effective communication with positive interpersonal skills when interacting with client and staff/craft personnel.
* Maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and TWIC card.
* Pass standard third party administered drug/background checks.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams) and Primavera P6.
* Proficiency with or willingness to learn use of common computer-based collaborative tools such as 3D model viewers and .pdf editors (e.g., Bluebeam).
* Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
* Working knowledge of basic scheduling theory (work breakdown structures, resource loading, logic development, baselining) required.
* Working knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC requirements.
* Working knowledge of typical refinery instrumentation and process control equipment preferred.
* Working knowledge of construction safety, pre-construction planning, heavy industrial construction techniques and QA/QC methodologies.

Experience
* Electrician experience preferred.
* 5+ years' experience in similar roles preferred.

Physical Requirements:
* Occasional walking in field.
* Must be able to work overtime hours and all shifts that may require up to 12-hours per day/7days per week for extended durations,

Compensation: $60/hr. - $67/hr. depending on experience
