Electrical CAD Technician – Up to $28/hr
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Pay Rate: Up to $28 per hour (based on experience)
PTS Advance is seeking a skilled Electrical CAD Technician to join a dynamic team supporting detailers, designers, and engineers on a variety of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in drafting and design, with the ability to assist in the development of computer-aided drafting (CAD) solutions across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and revise engineering drawings and layouts from specific sketches or layouts.
Assist in drafting design and documentation for various engineering projects.
Create and update plot drawings while following company and client drafting standards.
Use standard drafting detail programs to support technical project needs.
Research and propose solutions to design-related challenges.
Participate in efforts to improve drafting detail processes and standards.
Work on ad hoc projects as assigned by management.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, standards, and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
We are not seeking entry-level candidates; relevant experience is required.
Education & Experience (one of the following must be met):
Bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology or related field, OR
Associate's degree plus a minimum of 1 year of related drafting/design experience, OR
High school diploma/GED plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
(Note: Internship experience will not count toward the minimum experience requirement.)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to follow drafting practices and procedures.
