Seeking an Electrical Designer candidates located within/willing to relocate to the Boise, ID area, focusing on projects in facilities, data centers, mission-critical installations, and industrial facilities. 

 

Location: Boise, Idaho

 

Job Description:

As an Electrical Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the enhancement and optimization of operations at our cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Boise, Idaho. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, project coordinators, and construction trades to translate innovative ideas into tangible designs, driving the operational excellence of the facility. This role offers a dynamic work environment that blends hands-on fieldwork with meticulous design tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess existing field conditions and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with project engineers, coordinators, and construction trades to ensure seamless design implementation.
  • Utilize Revit and Navisworks to create detailed 2D/3D drawing packages that adhere to site design standards.
  • Develop comprehensive electrical plans, including conduit routing, cable tray routing, electrical panel schedules, and equipment layout.
  • Draft One-line Diagrams in AutoCAD to depict site and building power distribution.
  • Participate in product development and improvement initiatives, including design changes, cost reductions, and warranty improvements.
  • Provide drawing and drafting support for details, vendor submittals, and engineering drafting requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive CAD drafting/design experience in process systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Revit 3D modeling/design.
  • Prior exposure to a manufacturing plant environment is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with on-site punch list walks and coordination with construction trades.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Boise, Idaho area.

Compensation:

$30/hr - $40/hr (Depending On Experience)
