Job Description:

You'll be working on multi-discipline projects, primarily in the semiconductor manufacturing sector, with a focus on Tool Installation and advanced manufacturing facilities. The role involves computer-aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, and communication systems for client facilities. As a part of the team, you'll collaborate with engineers and design leads to deliver complex tool packages.

 

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent with 10 Years' Experience: This requirement ensures that candidates have a solid educational foundation and a significant amount of practical experience in the related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with 5 Years of Design Experience: AutoCAD is a widely used software for drafting and designing. Proficiency with this tool, along with design experience, is crucial for creating accurate electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Creating Diagrams: Creating one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and electrical plan view drawings is an essential skill for an electrical designer. 
  • Knowledge of Cable Management and Tray Routing: Effective cable management and routing are critical for the safety and efficiency of electrical systems. Understanding how to properly route cables and manage them is essential.
  • Proficiency in the Application of NEC: The National Electrical Code (NEC) sets the standards for electrical installations. Proficiency in its application is crucial to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Working Knowledge of Revit or Similar BIM Software: Building Information Modeling (BIM) software like Revit is used for 3D modeling and design. Having a working knowledge of such software can be valuable for more advanced and integrated designs.
  • Previous Experience in Relevant Facilities: Experience in semiconductor facilities, data centers, or similar industrial facilities is beneficial as these environments have specific electrical requirements and challenges.
  • 2-Year Associate's Degree in a Related Field: An associate's degree in a related field like electrician, instrumentation and controls, or construction provides formal education and can enhance a candidate's qualifications.
  • Experience as a Lead Designer or Design Manager (Preferred): Having experience in a leadership role within the field is preferred, as it demonstrates the ability to manage and coordinate complex design projects.
  • Must be local to the Portland/Hillsboro, OR area to be in office on a hybrid basis.

Compensation:

$32.00/hr - $44.60/hr (Depending On Experience)
