Electrical Field Technician
PTS Advance is actively searching for experienced Field Engineers to join our clients team spanning across numerous locations within the United States. Our client is a rapidly growing organization throughout nearly 70 countries and delivers testing, maintenance and engineering services to a wide variety of industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for numerous troubleshooting and electrical testing capabilities including low and medium voltage switchgears, relay calibration and the maintenance of electrical power distribution systems.
-Switchgear testing of Low and medium voltage through 15kV.
-Switchgear, circuit breaker, and motor control center testing.
-Busduct instillation and inspection.
-Instrument and power transformer tests (TTR, Doble, Insulation resistance, etc.).
-Troubleshooting automatic transfer switches.
-Electro-mechanical, solid-state relay and cable testing.
-High school diploma/GED and 1 year of relevant experience.
-BSEE with power systems focus/ Associates Degree from accredited technical college in Electrical Power, or experience and training from the military (Air Force Electrical Power Production, Army Prime Power, or NAVY Nuclear Electrician) is preferred.
-Conceptual understanding of electrical power systems.
-Microsoft office, Outlook, Word and Excel knowledge.
-Must pass pre-employment/drug screenings.
-Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
-Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift/move 100-pound test sets.
-Maintain good driving record and valid driver's license.
