ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Handles all technical project responsibilities, quality of group deliverables and overall success of the stations engineering group
 
  • Leads development, proposal creations, project captures, accounting set-ups, & successful launch of station projects
 
  • Coordinates with process and development teams, conducts implementations for standard proposals and project processes
 
  • Interfaces with the clients, including initial meet and greets, onsite meetings, business development, selling of services, & project support
 
  • Develops new clients and maintains relationships with existing clients to continue growing the stations group.
 
  • Maintains positive working relationships with assigned leads, project managers, vendors, contractors and clients
 
  • Design Lead/PM on projects including kick-off meetings & developing project layout plans
 
  • Specifications of major equipment, development of equipment bid packages, technical equipment and commercial reviews, equipment bid recommendations, equipment drawing reviews
 
  • Develops training programs to progress careers and technical aptitude of team.
 
  • Coaches and mentors engineers, develops group identities and maintains positive morale
 
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Process, and Mechanical engineers
 
  • They would be able to execute, oversee/QC and mentor young engineers on all pipeline and station type engineering drawings, design data sheets, drawing sketches, construction staging exhibits, permitting exhibits, scoping (i.e replacement route, test break determination, station footprint, etc), provide guidance on special design options or have the experience in utilizing the proper technical departments to support it, any design analysis required, etc. 
 
  • Ensure all the client deliverables meet the client standards/expectations. Implementing and executing QC checklists
 
  • Coordinate work between engineers and designers to ensure the drawings/exhibits are completed accurately. 
 
  • Provide the engineering forecast monthly and for bids on the number of hours it will take the engineering disciplines to complete the design deliverables.
DIRECTION RECEIVED
 
Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.  Check in on daily basis with supervisor. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent and 10+ years' experience.  
  • Professional engineering registration is required (or plan to be acquired within 6 months of hiring).
  • Experience with oil and gas facilities, compressor stations, and foundations.
  • Construction knowledge a plus 
  • Organized professional with strong desire to lead/manage a dynamic and growing group
  • Proactive individual that will define work scope for themselves and group, and desire to grow business through expanding current client base or targeting new clients
 
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Managed projects with budgets exceeding $1MM in revenue
  • Managed multidisciplinary teams with 5 people or more.
  • Leadership training or desire to further these skills
