Job Responsibilities:
- Data Evaluation and Validation:
- Evaluate and validate analytical data of air, water, and soil samples collected during remediation and investigation activities.
- Review laboratory reports using EPA National Functional Guidelines, project QAPP, or other project specifications as references.
- Prepare data validation summary memos.
- Compile data books, including data memos, validated laboratory reports, data tables, and related field data sheets.
- Ambient Air Monitoring Program:
- Perform work in accordance with the project Health and Safety Program.
- Calibrate hand-held air monitoring equipment.
- Maintain PAH time-integrated sampling units (e.g., brush changes, motor changes, single and multipoint calibrations).
- Collect and replace time-integrated samples from stations on assigned days.
- Complete corresponding field sheets and chains of custody.
- Prepare time-integrated samples for the following workday on assigned days.
- Collect real-time air quality readings.
- Prepare and label all time-integrated samples for shipment to the laboratory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, such as gaging wells, preparing hydrographs, and collecting soil and treatment system water samples.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience performing similar tasks.
- College degree in environmental science or a related field.
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and HAZWOPER training preferred (training will be provided if necessary).
