SUMMARY
The Field Engineer (FE) reports to the Project Site Construction Administrator (CA) and is responsible for assuring compliance with all specifications, standards, codes, and drawings. The FE is responsible for all field engineering activities and document control. They may be asked to assist with the Site Inspection group in their activities. They are the liaison between the field and the Project Engineer (PE). The FE is responsible for communicating contractor Requests for Information (RFI) to the PE and ensuring that the results of those RFIs are executed in the field. The FE determines that all required documentation is available prior to scheduled commencement of construction activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Documentation, Quality, and Compliance - The FE shall assist the CA with management of all project drawings and documentation throughout the construction stage of the project. The FE shall assist the PSEP CA with material tracking and traceability. The FE shall verify compliance with all specifications, standards, codes and drawings.
- Technical Guidance - The FE shall provide in field technical guidance on projects and documentation when required, escalating any issues to the project engineer when necessary. The FE shall meet with the Project Engineer to review the design of the project prior to the beginning of construction. The FE shall ensure that construction adheres to the drawings provided, and work with the project group on any variances from design.
- Field Change Management - The FE has several key roles in the field change management process. The FE works with the CA and the contractor to create the RFI and route it to the PE. When a response to the RFI is sent back to the field, the FE ensures that the changes detailed in the response are adhered to.
- Liaison -. The FE shall act as a liaison between the field and the Project Engineer. All contact with the Project Engineer will be coordinated through the Field Engineer. The FE shall work with the PE on changes made to the project during the construction phase.
- Safety -The FE does not have a direct responsibility for day to day jobsite safety, but the FE may provide spot safety surveillance of field activities.
- Municipal, State, and Environmental Permit Compliance - The FE does not have direct responsibility for day to day jobsite permit and environmental compliance, but may assist the CA in any related tasks as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering preferred
- This position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience. Experience should include gas facility experience
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
