Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Manager to support commissioning and startup activities for a large, multi-phase data center project in Claude, Texas. This individual will serve as the on-site lead, acting as the 'eyes on the ground' to ensure field operations stay on track, issues are addressed quickly, and commissioning efforts remain ahead of schedule. This is a high-impact role with potential for long-term involvement as the project continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary on-site liaison between field operations and project leadership
* Provide day-to-day oversight of site activities, ensuring work is progressing on schedule and aligned with commissioning milestones
* Coordinate field teams (currently 4 personnel with varying experience levels) to drive consistency, accountability, and performance
* Stay ahead of commissioning activities by proactively identifying risks, gaps, and scheduling conflicts
* Support and coordinate completion of test reports and commissioning checklists
* Assist with troubleshooting equipment during Level 2 temporary power checks
* Identify and help resolve quality issues related to equipment and installation
* Participate in energization and commissioning meetings, including those conducted through CXAlloy
* Coordinate and support Level 3, Level 4, and Level 5 / IST commissioning activities alongside the Commissioning Agent
* Maintain clear communication across stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and progress tracking
Qualifications
* Experience in field management, commissioning, or startup-ideally within data centers or mission-critical environments
* Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage teams of varying experience levels
* Working knowledge of commissioning processes (L2-L5)
* Ability to balance oversight with light hands-on troubleshooting when needed
* Strong attention to detail, particularly around quality control and issue resolution
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving construction/commissioning environment
