Our client, a Global Leader in Energy Technology, is seeking to hire a Field Service Engineer. This is a long-term opportunity based in Reno, NV. 

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

• Installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of LV and MV power distribution equipment.
• Troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and consulting.
• Will develop test plans for complex relay systems and successfully test and troubleshoot those systems.
• Ability to develop switching procedures, Methods of Procedure (MOP's), and advise on electrical safety matters related to scheduled work and unscheduled work.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in field service and / or industrial engineering technical support.
• Experience with low and medium voltage Switchgear.
• Knowledge and/or experience with breakers or high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment.
• Skilled in troubleshooting & repairing electrical control circuits.
• Experience working with different manufacturers relays to include but not limited to SEL, Siemens SIPROTEC, and GE Multilin is a plus.
• Must be familiar with OSHA safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew.
