PTS Advance is seeking to hire a Flight Software Engineer for a space research client with locations in Houston, TX and Boulder, CO. The Flight Software Engineer will be a part of the development and testing of flight software for an International Space Station visiting vehicle.
The Flight Software Engineer will need to be innovative and be excited to help develop and further space exploration through a variety of projects. The main focus of this position will be implementing spacecraft flight software applications, software architecture, device interfaces, drivers and space vehicle systems/subsystems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design, develop, and integrate spacecraft flight software
- Monitor system and testing development
- Utilizing C/C++ software development
- Working in a Linux-based software environment
- Developing the software lifecycle and best practices
- Demonstrating analytical capabilities and complex problem solving
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other engineers
- Trouble shooting and providing innovative solutions
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
- Experience with modern C/C++ development and methods
- Experience with Python
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to government contract requirements
