POSITION SUMMARY:
This Human Resources Business Partner position will be located in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will handle human resources matters with client departments, in addition to leading recruiting, employee network activities, and general HR project work. This position offers both competitive pay and benefits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The HR Business Partner will use performance consulting skills to assist operating groups with organizational and personnel issues, succession planning, and actively support team participation and development.
Manage labor relations activities for client group, including grievance processing and avoidance, assisting with arbitration preparation, advising on contractual language, and leading Union Management committee meetings.
The HR Business Partner will lead the recruitment of college, experienced professional/technical and hourly personnel, policy administration of all general Company policies and administration and development of local policies, including the Drug & Alcohol Policy, Absence Control Program, Benefit Programs, etc., and ensure consistent application of such policies. Assignments may include special projects such as salary recommendations, litigation preparation and training.
The HR Business Partner will participate in emergency response activities and on call responsibilities during off hours and weekends.
The successful candidate will conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints, inappropriate conduct and other issues which may result in coaching for correction or discipline.
The successful candidate will need to be proficient in planning and organizing priorities and arrange activities to attain high levels of personal output.
This position will involve work on special HR projects, in conjunction with fulfilling needs of client organizations and spending time in the plant to develop a relationship with hourly/salaried personnel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resources Administration, or related discipline required.
6+ years of HR generalist experience required. Prior Labor Relations experience preferred.
Strong PC skills required, especially with SAP, Microsoft Office.
